If so, Toastmasters might be just what you’re looking for. An informational meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the McNary Fire Station to see if there is enough interest in forming a Toastmasters group in Umatilla.
Toastmasters allows members to hone their speaking skills in a no-pressure setting by having fellow members evaluate one another’s presentations. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure.
