Thomas Cecil “Tommy” Mullins of Tacoma, Wash. (but relocated to Pendleton to live near his son) passed away on Nov. 13, 2024 at Willowbrook Terrace in Pendleton at the age of 73.
Thomas (Tommy or Tom) was born on Oct. 8, 1951 in Keystone, W.V. He was a beloved son of Beatrice E. Napier (deceased) of Tacoma, Wash. and Maston Mullins (deceased) of Florida.
Tommy attended school in Tacoma, Wash. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Army and as a private he saw action in Korea. After serving his country, Tommy returned to Spanaway, Wash., where he raised his two sons and worked for Burlington Railroad.
Tommy was friendly. He enjoyed being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisher and just loved to be outside. He shared his love for the outdoors with his boys. Tommy greatly loved his two dogs – Rags, a wire fox terrier and Lakota, a fox terrier (both deceased). The two dogs brought him great joy.
Tommy is survived by his two sons, Gregory “Greg” Arthur Mullins of Spanaway, Wash. and Joshua “Josh” Thomas Mullins (wife, Annie Mullins) of Pendleton; and one grandson, Carter Mullins, who brought him the most joy and he would spoil as much as he could. He also is survived by his sister, Tina Dixon Stambaugh (husband, Donald Stambaugh) of Puyallup, Wash.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice E. Napier, Tacoma, Wash. and Maston Mullins, Florida.
In honor of his final wishes, Tommy’s remains will be spread in the Pacific Northwest forests with his beloved dogs.
No services will be held.
