Antoine W. Day Jr. (aka Tony Stroud) went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2023. He passed from cancer peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Tony joined the National Guard when he was 17. He worked in various jobs, such as a cook for Lamb Weston, as well as numerous other jobs.
Tony met Terri Reynolds in 1980; the couple dated for many years and married in 1992.
Tony loved picking mushrooms, fishing and hunting. But his true passion was his family and teaching his children and their friends how to pick mushrooms, hunt and fish. He loved everything about the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Terri; children, Toni “Nikki” (Dain Fitch) Day of Hermiston, Jeremy (Miranda) Phillips of Hermiston and Joshua (Amanda) Phillips of Pendleton; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No services will be announced.
The family had a celebration of life before his passing so the family could enjoy him and his stories, his quick wit and great sense of humor.
Please make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in Tony’s memory.
Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
