The final phase of the city of Hermiston’s Gladys Avenue and Main Street water line replacement project means traffic restrictions go into effect Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The city in a statement announced it will restrict through traffic on Main Street and Diagonal Boulevard between Fourth Street and East Ridgeway Avenue. Business access will be available but may be limited at times, and on-street parking will not be permitted.

This is the final phase of the project, which is upgrading some of the city’s oldest water lines. The city said it expects the work to continue through November.
