An Oregon Department of Corrections adult in custody, Gordon Fraser Strong, died the morning of Aug. 26. Strong was incarcerated at Two Rivers Correctional Institution (TRCI) in Umatilla and passed away in the infirmary while on hospice care.
Strong entered DOC custody on April 19, 2012, from Marion County with an earliest release date of Dec. 27, 2026. Strong was 75. Next of kin has been notified.
TRCI is a multi-custody prison in Umatilla that houses approximately 1,800 adults in custody.
