Troy Potter Passes Away at 50
Troy Dean Potter of Irrigon died on June 20, 2020 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston at the age of 50.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1969 in Yakima, Wash. to Lynn and V. Jenni Richardson Potter of Hermiston.
Troy graduated from Hermiston High School in 1987, and from ITT in Boise, Idaho in 1990. Troy worked for Cleaver Farming until his death. Troy was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing with his friends (and dogs).
Troy is survived by his mother, Jenni Potter of Hermiston; brother, Chad (Angela) Potter of Kennewick; sisters, Sue (Drew Mershon) Leitch of Cookevile, Tenn. and Carol (Derek) Caplinger of Hermiston; nephews, Marcus and A.J. Leitch; nieces, Addison and Mallory Caplinger; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Lynn.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.

Thanks for the information regarding the recent passing of Troy. He will long be remembered as a good friend and big hearted man. He loved his dogs as much as we love ours. He liked to hunt with his dogs and we spent many-a-day hunting together with others for pheasants in North Dakota and, among other game birds, in Irrigon He always offered us much of himself, including overnight accommodations at his home. We both Sense a deep loss! We will long remember his kindness most of all
