UEC, CoBank Amplify Community Impact with Matching Donations

Matching donations from Umatilla Electric Cooperative and one of its financial partners, CoBank, were presented in June to four local organizations to support community projects across UEC’s service territory.

CoBank is a national cooperative bank based in Colorado. Through its Sharing Success Program, CoBank doubles the contributions of its members to charitable organizations. It has now matched nearly $90,000 in the last nine years. This year’s four CoBank Sharing Success Program recipients are detailed below:

Blue Mountain Community College Foundation
BMCC received support to purchase specialized equipment benefitting the Precision Irrigated Agriculture Program at the college.

Stanfield/Echo Little League
The Stanfield/Echo Little League Program received a matched donation to add lighting infrastructure at the baseball and softball facility, supporting youth sports.

Irrigon Fire and Rescue
Irrigon Fire and Rescue received support to complete needed building improvements, as their infrastructure at the fire department has aged.

TruCare Pregnancy Clinic

“UEC is proud to partner with CoBank through their Sharing Success Program to support these vital community organizations,” said Lisa McMeen, UEC  vice president of  administration. “CoBank’s commitment to doubling our contributions has enabled us to collectively donate nearly $90,000 over the past nine years, enhancing the well-being of the communities across our service area.”
