Umatilla Electric Cooperative will send two high school juniors on a week-long, all-expense paid, educational trip to Washington, D.C. in June 2016.
As many as 1,600 students from around the country will take part in the trip to learn about our nation’s history, government and electric cooperatives. The Youth Tour is open to area high school juniors whose parents or guardians are members of Umatilla Electric Cooperative.
The applicant is required to write a 300-500 word essay on a provided topic. Applications are available at Umatilla Electric offices in Hermiston and Boardman, or online. The applications are due by 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.
