Umatilla Electric Cooperative’s 80th Annual Meeting & Membership Dinner will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Hermiston Conference Center.
The event is free and open to UEC members and guests. The business meeting includes financial and operational information for calendar year 2016.
Three directors will be seated to three-year terms. Board seats up for election are:
- District 5 (Echo area): Incumbent Glenn Rohde, who is running unopposed.
- District 6 (Pendleton/Pilot Rock area): Incumbent RoseEtta Ansotegui and candidate Steve Platt.
- District 7 (Hermiston area): Incumbent John Otis and candidates Gene Snyder and Jim Voss.
The after-dinner guest speaker, Bob Welch of Eugene, is an author, award-winning columnist and teacher who has keynoted conferences, workshops and retreats across the U.S. He will speak about lessons learned while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.
The Annual Meeting is also a celebration of the cooperative, founded in 1937, which is commemorating 80 years of service to its members and the community. A catered dinner, door prizes and member gifts are included in the event.
Door prizes include a 60-inch Samsung TV, Pendleton Woolen Mills blankets, Amazon Echo, Traeger grill, smart thermostat, gift baskets, rodeo box seats and more.
