UHS Heading to Robotics Competition Finals

UHS Robotics Team
The Umatilla High School Robotics team is heading to St. Louis after raising the $15,000 needed for travel costs.

Umatilla High School was among the winners of the regional FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and will now head to the FRC Championships in St. Louis.

The regional competition took place April 4-6 at Eastern Washington University.

The championships are set for April 25-28. UHS has a little more than two weeks to raise the funds necessary to send the team to St. Louis. Donations can be mailed to the Umatilla School District office at 1001 Sixth St., Umatilla, 97882, dropped off at the high school at 1400 Seventh St., or made through an online PayPal account.

The championship round in St. Louis will pit teams from around the United States and the world.

FRC features real-world challenges in which teams must use research, critical thinking, construction, teamwork and imagination.
