The location for the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest, set for Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m., has been changed to Spillway Park at McNary Lock and Dam.

The event was scheduled to take place at West Park, but due to construction on Third Street, West Park is not accessible at this time.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes are invited – with their owners, of course – to participate in the event! The cost is $5 per dog with a limit of three dogs. All dogs must be on a leash. Each dog will receive a goodie bag filled with treats and will vie for the honor of being judged for Best Trick, Best Costume, Funniest Costume, Scariest Costume and Most Original Costume.

There will be a dog parade and kids are encouraged to dress up with their dogs. Tickets are available at the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce office at 100 Cline Ave., Umatilla. The contest is sponsored by Wal-Mart Super Center, John L. Ballard, Attorney at Law, J & B Signs, Oregon Trail Habitat for Humanity, Morrow County Grain Growers, American Printing, Oregon Trail Veterinary Clinic, Hermiston Veterinary Clinic, Country Animal Hospital, Bowser’s B & B Pet Groomers, Pet Parade, Frontier Genetics and Love My Dog Daycare.
