Four musical acts — including headliner Banda Rancho Viejo — will take the stage during Latino Night at the 2024 Umatilla County Fair.

Fair Manager Angie McNalley said Alacranes Musical also is returning to this year’s event. The band was featured during the 2019 fair, however, she said their show was cut short because of inclement weather.

For a second year in a row, the Latino Night dance and concert will be held on Saturday evening — Aug. 10 — during fair week. The outdoor concert area opens at 7 p.m. at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center, 1705 E. Airport Road.

Tickets for the Latino Night concert and dance are $50 each. Fair admission is included with advance ticket sales before Aug. 10.

The schedule of acts includes Rebeldes de la Sierra at 7:30 p.m., followed by Alacranes Musical at 9 p.m.; Banda Rancho Viejo at 10:15 p.m. and closing out the night is Los Canarios de Michoacan at 11:35 p.m.

With millions of followers, Banda Rancho Viejo was founded in 2006 in El Limon de los Peraza, a small town in Sinaloa, Mexico. The group is known for its contagious energy on stage, with sounds ranging from emotional ballads to lively dance songs.

Formed in 1996, Alacranes Musical (translated as Musical Scorpions) performs Duranguense, a subgenre of regional Mexican music. They have four No. 1 hits and 13 in the top 10 on the Billboard charts.

Tickets are available at www.umatillacountyfair.net, the fair office at EOTEC or Velasco Used Car Sales, 80596 N. Highway 395, Hermiston. For questions contact 541-567-6121 or fair@umatillacounty.gov.
