Umatilla County Fair, Farm-City Pro Rodeo Get Under Way Today

Fear not, fair and rodeo lovers – the 2023 Umatilla County Fair and Farm-City Pro Rodeo officially kick off today at the Eastern Oregon Trade & Event Center.

Gates open each day at 10 a.m. Tonight’s entertainment on the Main Stage will be country artist Warren Zeiders. The concert gets under way at 9 p.m.

Shoot to Thrill, an AC/DC tribute band, will perform on Thursday. Country artist Joe Nichols is the headliner on Friday night, and Latino Night caps the week off on Saturday featuring four different musical acts.

Among the events scheduled for today include the 4-H Food Preparation Contest which goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Event Center kitchen. Over at the Burns Pavilion, the 4-H/FFA breeding stock goats will be followed by the open class goats. That goes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The 4-H/FFA market lamb show gets under way today at noon at the Burns Pavilion. At 3 p.m., the 4-H/FFA small animal judging contest takes place at the Small Animal Barn.

At 6 p.m., the 4-H/FFA grand champion market animal selection will be held at the Burns Pavilion.

The Davis Shows NW carnival opens at 2 p.m. today through Friday and gets going at noon on Saturday.

Children 10 and under will be admitted into the fair for free all week.

The Farm-City Pro Rodeo kicks off each night of the week at 7:45 p.m.
