The Umatilla County Fair is seeking organizations or service groups to take over the refuse handling during the fair.
In the past, Richard Edmunds of Hermiston has lead generations of Boy Scout troops in providing these services for over 35 years.
Edmunds has reluctantly stepped down due to an injury and has donated his trailer and several garbage bins to assist with the transition.
The fair is seeking groups who are looking to raise funds that will be cycled back into the community to benefit the youth of Umatilla County. The Request for Proposal is posted on the fair website.
Proposals are due to the Fair Office by May 31.
