If you’ve been meaning to but haven’t yet been out to the Umatilla County Fair, today is your last chance.
The fair wraps up its four-day run today with several popular events on tap. The Youth Livestock Show will be held at 10 a.m. at the Burns Pavilion. According to the fair, the 2023 Youth Livestock Auction sold 288 lots for $1,343,288 – up from 2022’s 267 lots for $1,154,762.89. This year’s auction will also be livestreamed.
The ever-popular Cutest Baby Contest, presented by KOHU & The Q, takes place at 11 a.m. at the Les Schwab Stage.
Four musical acts will take the stage during tonight’s Latino Night. The schedule of acts includes Rebeldes de la Sierra at 7:30 p.m., followed by Alacranes Musical at 9 p.m.; Banda Rancho Viejo at 10:15 p.m. and closing out the night is Los Canarios de Michoacan at 11:35 p.m.
Tickets are available at online or the fair office at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center, 1705 E. Airport Road.
The carnival opens two hours earlier today at noon. The Walchli Watermelon Seed-Spitting Contest is set for 2 p.m. at the Les Schwab Stage.
