The Umatilla Electric Cooperative Business Resource Center announced on Thursday that Umatilla County has received additional dollars to fund the Restaurant Relief Grant to be dispersed out to restaurants affected by COVID-19 closures or limits the state placed on restaurants during the “Extreme” ranking time period.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a restaurant business, be headquartered, and operating in Umatilla County.
What you need to know:
- $5,000 grants
- Distributed throughout the County proportionately
- Application available November 9, 2021
- Application closes November 29, 2021
- Grant recipients will be selected through lottery drawing
- Checks processed and distributed before the end of the calendar year
Qualifications:
- Must be a restaurant business headquartered and operating within Umatilla county
- Employ 25 of fewer Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees
- Must have been in business and operating prior to March 1, 2020
- Only one application per business entity

If you do not have computer access, you may also pick up a paper application at each community’s city hall or UEC Business Resource Center. Return the completed application to that city hall or UEC Business Resource Center by the deadline of Nov. 29 at 9 a.m.
UEC Business Resource Center is located at 1475 N 1st St., in Hermiston.
The lottery will be drawn on Nov. 30.
