Umatilla County Sheriff’s Deputy, K-9 Partner Complete 5 Weeks of Training

Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputy “Skoty” and his human handler, Deputy Cody Marcum graduated from five weeks of training and recently returned home to Umatilla County.

The training took place at Shallow Creek Kennels in Sharpsville, Penn.

Skoty – pronounced Scotty – is an 18-month old male, Belgian Malinois from the Czech Republic. He is trained in tracking, apprehension, narcotics detection, and has been nationally certified through the North American Police Work Dog Association.
