The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office has shared a couple of flyers from the Oregon Department of Justice Elderly Abuse Team, and they ask the public to share this information with others.
The flyers are available on the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. The first addresses examples of COVID-19 scammers that are taking advantage of people during this time. The second lists possible indicators of elderly abuse.
Suspected abuse in Umatilla County can be reported to the 24-hour dispatch center at 541-966-3651, or in an emergency, to 911.
