Umatilla Electric Cooperative will be renovating its building on W. Elm Avenue and its lobby will be relocated until the project is complete.

The current lobby area is set to close mid-March and will be temporarily relocated to a modular building that will be set on the southeast corner of the UEC property, near the intersection of Elm Avenue and First Place.

The move is part of UEC’s plans to expand its office at 750 W. Elm Avenue. Since 2018, UEC has added more than 40 employees to support the operations of the cooperative’s membership and its Hermiston office has reached capacity.

Specific dates and details for the transition will be announced soon following the delivery of the modular building. The transition should not disrupt payment service as the new location will house the same staff and offer the same services for both Umatilla Electric members and Hermiston Energy Services customers.

The modular building will have many payment stations, ADA access and a drive-through for payment convenience. The current parking lot and building will not be accessible for members through the duration of construction. Be careful in the area and watch for crews working.
