The city of Umatilla is inviting the public to take part in the annual Umatilla Landing Days on June 27.
The day gets started at 10:30 a.m. with a parade through downtown Umatilla. Much of the rest of the day’s activities will take place at Marina Park, 1710 Quincy Ave.
There will be a variety of vendors on hand and entertainment including the Round-Up City Cloggers, the Umatilla High School cheerleaders, Finn Dixie – Portland’s indie-pop electric-Celtic-harp band – BBPD and local favorites, Blue Tatoo, will headline the entertainment in the evening.
Also appearing will be Ms. Oregon State America 2015 Desiree Quinn. There will be games for kids, fireworks and more. The cost is $3 per person for parking with proceeds going toward next year’s fireworks show.
Anyone interested in volunteering, operating a vendor booth or participating in the parade should call 541-922-4825.
