The Umatilla Vikings came away with a road victory Friday over the Riverside Pirates, 35-24.
The win improves Umatilla’s record to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play. The Vikings will take on the Vale Vakings on Friday in a 3A Eastern Oregon matchup. Vale comes into the game with a 6-1 record after their 49-8 league win over Nyssa.
The Pirates (2-5 overall and 2-2 in league play) will now prepare for their bout against Nyssa. The Bulldogs will take a 4-3 record into the game. Nyssa lost to Vale, 49-8, Friday night.
