After going winless a year ago, the Umatilla Vikings football squad has opened the 2015 season with two straight wins.
The Vikings traveled to Pilot Rock on Friday and handed the Rockets a 14-6 loss to improve to 2-0 on the season. The Vikings will host the Irrigon Knights in a non-league game on Friday.
The Rockets will play the Union/Cove Bobcats on Friday.
