The Umatilla High School robotics team stopped by the Oregon State Capitol on Thursday to take a tour and check in with State Rep. Greg Smith (R-Heppner).

The team was on the way to its district competition held at the Oregon State Fairgrounds. Among the stops during their tour, the students visited the Oregon House Chamber where  Smith introduced them to his colleagues and bragged a little bit about his pride in the students.

“I was thrilled to have students from home drop in to the State Capitol for a visit,” said Smith. “The Umatilla High School robotics team demonstrates year in and year out their expertise and knowledge in the application of math, science, and team work”.
