Courtland S. “Corky” Rhoades of Umatilla ied on Feb. 1, 2017 in Kennewick, Wash., at the age of 49.
He was born on May 16, 1967 in Walla, Walla, Wash., to John and Charlene Tannehill Rhoades. d Corky was raised in California and Milton Freewater, Oregon where he attended Mac- Hi School. He moved to the Hermiston – Umatilla area where he worked on area farms for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, and traveling.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather: Charlene and Jack Ogilvie, Spokane Valley, WA; son” James Roundtree, Portland, OR; sister: Amber Rhoades, Tucson, AZ; brothers: Joe and John Rhoades, both of Umatilla, OR; sisters: Paula Webb, Garibaldi, OR, Tammy Pike, Moses Lake, WA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Corky was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jack Rhoades.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
