Judy Kahle (formerly Hofmann), age 76, of Umatilla, died peacefully in the presence of her husband, daughter, and son after a quiet and courageous battle with cancer in Hermiston.
She was born on May 17, 1940, in La Grande where she was raised and attended school. Judy lived most of her life in Northeastern Oregon, returning to La Grande in 1974 where she lived and worked for US Bank until 1997 when she and her husband Larry moved to Umatilla. She retired in 2000 from US Bank and has continued to live in Umatilla and spending the winters in Arizona. Judy enjoyed traveling, riding ATV’s, collecting rocks and sea shells, gardening, and cherished time with her grandchildren. Judy was also very interested and proud of her Hofmann and Hammack heritage.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Larry Kahle; by her son Dean Aldrich; by her daughter Kim Denton; by her much beloved grandchildren: Mason Denton, Remi Denton, Luke Aldrich, Anna Aldrich, and Evan Aldrich; and by her brother Chuck Hofmann.
A private family celebration will be held.
