Veterans of Umatilla, Morrow and Union counties and their immediate families are invited to a free Veterans Appreciation Dinner this Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Hermiston Community Center, 415 S. Highway 395. The event begins at 3 p.m.
Non-veteran families are welcome to attend, as well, for $15 a plate. Guests will also learn details of a new veteran assistance program in the area.
