Jillian Viles has been selected as the new court administrator for Hermiston Municipal Court.
Viles moved to Hermiston in June 2016 and most recently worked as the Treatment Court coordinator for the 6th Judicial District Circuit Court (Umatilla and Morrow counties). She relaunched the Treatment Court Program (formerly known as Drug Court) in 2018. She worked to create the only bi-county treatment court program in Oregon so that Morrow County residents could participate. The Treatment Court program provides intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment with intensive supervision for individuals who have been charged with a drug-motivated crime.
Viles holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Northwest Nazarene University and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Prior working in the judicial system she worked in banking for six years.
Her first day as court administrator was Jan. 3.
