The 2021 Career Connect Virtual College and Job Fair is set for Wednesday, April 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. via careerconnect2021.com and Zoom.

This event is open to the public, giving attendees a chance to visit virtually with area food processors, utilities, farms, local government agencies, data centers and educational institutions about careers, training and find help in their job-seeking endeavors.

“We are excited to bring together high school students, industry, and the community for Career Connect” says Anna Browne of OSU Extension Service-Umatilla/Morrow Counties. “By going virtual we’re able to reach even more students and job seekers this year.”

Local high school students and college students are also invited to the fair to speak with local colleges and employers to discover careers available in their communities and learn what kind of education they need to work in local industries. Darrell “Coach D” Andrews will be giving the keynote speech to the high school students. Students can register for the event at careerconnectday.com.

Among those companies and agencies participating include Lamb Weston, Threemile Canyon Farms, Tillamook, Amazon Web Services, Morrow County, Boardman Foods, Beef Northwest, Morrow County School District, Umatilla Morrow County Head Start and more.
