Tamástslikt Cultural Institute’s outdoor living culture village will give visitors a chance to learn about traditional camp foods and utensils on Saturday.

Visitors to Naami Nishaycht village will see examples of dried Indian foods, utensils used in food gathering, and learn why Native Americans are seasonal people. Visitors will also get the opportunity to make a paper “íšaptikay.” Traditionally made of rawhide, an “íšaptikay” is a storage/trade container.

The village, which includes replicas of traditional and prehistoric structures of Plateau Indian people, is open each Saturday through Aug. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
