Leadership Hermiston is looking for volunteers to help plant trees at the Oxbow Trail.

The Oxbow tree planting day will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 5. There will be 7,000 trees that need to be planted. Some shovels and gloves will be available, but volunteers are asked to bring their own if possible. Planting trees not only beautifies the environment, but helps prevent soil erosion.

Holes will already be dug and snacks will be provided. For more information, visit the Umatilla Watershed Council website or call Greg Silbernagel at 541-276-2190 or Beth Harrington at 541-314-5888.
