Wallace “Wally” Arthur Davis of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on Oct. 7, 2024 at the age of 84.

He was born on June 4, 1940 in Dayton, Nev. to Ralph and Anna Duchess Davis.

Wally grew up and attended his schooling in Gilroy, Calif., where he graduated from high school. After high school, he attended college for a short time before joining the U.S. Army. He served as an interpreter in Korea for seven years and then served two tours in Vietnam. He retired from the Army in 1979.

Wally moved to Hermiston in the early 1980s, where he owned and operated the Tower Apartments for 19 years.

Wally enjoyed his hobby farm where he raised sheep, horses and alpacas. He also enjoyed sewing, quilting, woodworking and fishing.

Wally married Robin Delasandro in Walla Walla, Wash. on Feb. 19, 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Robin; children, Ricky Davis, Jody Kelly and Alia House; two stepchildren, Tiffany Sackett and Brandon Maag; three grandchildren; sister, Diana Lemos; brother, Lloyd Davis; and many extended family members.

Military honors will be performed at the Hermiston Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
