The Hermiston Warming Station will hold a volunteer training session on Sunday, Jan. 17 at the Arc building on Orchard Avenue.
The training will take place from 1 to 3 p.m.
The station, located at the Arc Building, 215 W. Orchard Ave., is staffed by a coalition of community members working to ensure that people who are experiencing homelessness in the Hermiston area have a warm and safe place to sleep when the temperature drops below 32 degrees during the winter season. The warming station operates through March.
