June has arrived and the weather forecast calls for sunny skies and warm temperatures for the foreseeable future – but first we have to get through a day of stiff winds and blowing dust.
The National Weather Service is forecasting wind speeds today of 22 miles per hour with gusts reaching 33 mph and patches of blowing dust throughout the day and evening. The high today is expected to reach 84 with an overnight low of 51.
On Wednesday, the skies will be sunny with a high of around 85 with winds up to 15 mph during the day and gusts up to 29 mph overnight. It’s expected to be sunny throughout the week with a high on Thursday of 81 with winds dropping down to around 7 mph.
The forecast for Friday is sunny, little if any wind, and a high temperature of around 82. That weather pattern is expected to continue through the weekend with a Saturday high of 83 and 84 on Sunday.
