The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Lower Columbia Basin through Wednesday night.
High temperatures are expected to be between 98 and 107 degrees through Wednesday, according to the weather service. The high today is expected to be around 102 degrees with a 20-percent chance of a thunderstorm. The high on Tuesday should be 102 with Wednesday’s high reaching 103 degrees.
It’s not expected to cool off much during the night, with an overnight low tonight forecast to be 67 degrees.
The heat is expected to relent toward the end of the week with a high of 91 expected for Friday.
In the meantime, if you have to be outside, drink plenty of fluids and wear sunscreen.
