The cinema experience in Pendleton just got just got an upgrade with the new Dolby® Atmos sound system installed in Theater 1 at the Wildhorse Cineplex.
Wildhorse Audio/Visual Manager Nathan Garton said the Atmos system is all about immersion in sound and promises to enhance the theater-goer’s experience. He said the all-encompassing audio creates a sense that you are “there.” Dialogue is as clear as it can possibly be and sounds are more natural and convincing.
Garton said that the original system consists of 7.1 channels or zones but the new system will consist of 38 channels.
“With the placement of speakers on the ceiling and added speakers behind the screen and on the walls, the spatial audio will encompass the viewer and create a sound adventure they’ll want to experience over and over,” Garton said.
