Wildhorse Names New Executive Chef

Wildhorse Resort & Casino has hired Hamadou Dagnogo as Executive Chef.

Dagnogo comes to Pendleton from Washington, Penn., bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in fine dining and culinary arts at gaming properties.

Originally from the Ivory Coast of West Africa, Dagnogo, was trained in Paris and worked abroad in Italy before coming to the United States, helping him to become fluent in French, Italian and English.

Dagnogo has worked in the casino/hotel culinary business around the country from Missouri, Michigan, Indiana, Delaware and most recently, as the executive chef for the SKY Ute Casino in Colorado and the executive chef at Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington, Penn.

“Hamadou is going to be a good fit with our staff as a whole and our Culinary Staff particularly,” said Bruce Mecham, director of Food and Beverage at Wildhorse. “The experience he brings gives him the ability to impact, not only our buffet, sports bar and deli offerings but also continue to raise the bar at Plateau and offer an impeccable fine dining experience.”

Hamadou said he is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead for him at Wildhorse and incorporating his spin on the cuisine.
