Wildhorse Resort & Casino honored several employees Tuesday night at the Rivers Event Center in Pendleton.

Wildhorse CEO Gary George began the evening by highlighting year-over-year growth and expressing gratitude to all employees for their diligent participation in achieving annual goals.  George then spoke of the upcoming expansion and possibilities for future development.

Though punctuated with numerous prize giveaways, the evening focused on recognizing outstanding employees for performance and tenure.

Long-time employees were recognized for significant anniversaries and received luggage sets, Pendleton blankets and embroidered jackets.

The first performance award was presented to Diane Long for Director of the Year.  Long is the marketing director and has been with Wildhorse for nine years.

Next, the title of Manager of the Year was handed to Cal Tyer, hotel manager.  Tyer came to Wildhorse in 2006.

Recipients of the Supervisor and Employee of the Year awards are chosen from the monthly title holders named throughout the year.  The monthly nominations in these categories are made by peers.

Supervisor of the Year went to Robin Hauck, slot shift manager, who has served at Wildhorse since 1999.

Employee of the Year in a support position went to Chris Cortez, multi-media specialist.  Cortez began working for Wildhorse in 2015.

Angelina Hernandez was named Employee of the Year in a front-line position.  Hernandez, who works in custodial maintenance, has been a familiar face with the organization for nearly 13 years.
