The Willow Creek Symphony, under the direction of music director and conductor, R. Lee Friese, and associate conductor, Ralph Werner, will be performing in Boardman on Sunday, March 19.
The concert will take place at 4 p.m. at Windy River Elementary School, 500 Tatone St.
The performances will include the following pieces:
• “Divertimento IV” by W. A. Mozart, arranged by Robert Klotman
• “Gentle On My Mind” by John Hartford, arranged by Frederick Muller
• “Feelings” by Morris Albert
• “Divertimento” by Joseph Haydn, arranged by David Stone, which includes three parts: 1. St, Anthony Chorale; 2. Menuetto; 3. Rondo
A special feaature will be “Danse Macabre” by C. Saint-Saens, arranged by Merle J Isaac. This piece features soloist Alice Massey who is the Concert Master of the Inland Northwest Orchestra.
The Willow Creek Symphony is comprised of students and adults from Walla Walla, Athena, Pendleton, Irrigon, Ione, Hermiston, Boardman and Umatilla and is joined by some members of The Inland Northwest Orchestra.
A reception will follow the performance. Admission is free, donations are gladly accepted.
