A Pendleton woman is suing the city of Pendleton for $550,000 for injuries she suffered after tripping on potholes and asphalt piles in a city parking lot, according to the East Oregonian.

In her complaint, Lezlie Perkins says she was walking “carefully and prudently”’ when the injuries occurred on Dec. 21, 2011.

According to the East Oregonian, the city of Pendleton has denied the parking lot posed any danger and alleges that Perkins was negligent. The two sides are scheduled to meet in Umatilla County Court on Friday for a pre-trial hearing.
