Workshops Scheduled for Those with Disabilities

FACT Oregon is offering two workshops this fall for individuals with disabilities and their families about transitioning to adulthood.

The workshops are offered in partnership with the High Desert Education Service District (ESD), and will be streamed live at the InterMountain ESD building in Pendleton. “Preparing for the Transition to Adulthood Series” are free for parents and family members and $25 for professionals and others.

The first workshop on Thursday, Oct. 20 covers guardianship, the ABLE Act and community developmental disability programs. The second workshop on Thursday, Nov. 17 covers vocational rehabilitation services, work incentives and social security. Both workshops are from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
