Umatilla Morrow Head Start Learning Picnics will be held in Hermiston and Umatilla on Thursday, July 31.
The Hermiston Learning Picnic will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Victory Square Head Start playground, 1050 W. Orchard Ave. The one in Umatilla will be held at the same time at Kiwanis Park, behind the McNary Market.
All children up to age 6 are invited to attend the picnics. The Learning Picnics are an opportunity for parents or caregivers and their children to explore, learn, and build important literacy skills while having fun. Every child receives a free book, snack and art project each week.
No registration is required, and there is no cost to attend. Children must be accompanied by a parent, child care provider or caregiver.
