HERMISTON, Ore.-Good Shepherd Health Care System’s 12 Days of Giving are now underway.
The community is invited to donate a different food item each day until December 12 to benefit Agape House’s Elementary Backpack Program and the Hermiston School District.
Agape House’s backpack program currently serves about 250 elementary students, allowing them to take a backpack of food home over the weekend to ensure they have enough to eat away from school.
“With the cost of food prices rising, wages staying the same and federal programs stopping, food storages are a forgotten thought for many,” said Mark Gomolski, Agape House Executive Director.
