
BOARDMAN, Ore.- The Boardman Chamber of Commerce hosted its 36th Annual Awards Banquet at the SAGE Center on March 11.
The annual awards ceremony and fundraiser brought together community members, businesses and City leaders to recognize the individuals and organizations who make Boardman an exceptional place to live, work, and serve, according to the Chamber.
These awards recognize the individuals and organizations who consistently step forward to support our community, inspire others, and make Boardman stronger,” said Chamber Director Torrie Griggs. “Each recipient represents the spirit of service and dedication that defines our town.”
36th Annual Boardman Distinguished Citizen Award recipients
- Citizen of the Year: Dave Boor
- Youth Citizen of the Year: Kaylee Christy
- Educator of the Year: Chris Hull
- Business of the Year: Threemile Canyon Farms
- Businessperson of the Year: Dr. Derek Earl
- Pioneer of the Year: Luo Ann Daltoso
- Frontline Worker of the Year: Shari Stokoe
The annual awards banquet also serves as a fundraiser for students in Boardman, with funds raised through a centerpiece auction, cork pull and games.
This year over $10,000 in scholarships for Riverside High School seniors was raised to help invest in the next generation of Boardman’s leaders, according to the Chamber.
