UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore.-The Hagen Fire is now burning on the north side of the North Fork of the Umatilla River and evacuation levels in Umatilla and Union Counties have once again been elevated.
The fire also came into contact with Highway 204 in the Spout Springs Ski Area on August 9.
Fire crews were able to hold the fire at the highway and plan to burn strategically along the southern portion of the highway to create a barrier, according to Northern Rockies Team 6.
Highway 204 is now closed from mileposts 0-39 between Weston and Elgin, for the foreseeable future.
The Hagen Fire is currently burning 46,527 acres and is now 11% contained.
The Paradise Fire about 10 miles Southeast of Walla Walla is still 0% contained and is currently burning 3,721 acres.
Over the weekend, the emergency shelter for those affected by the wildfires in Umatilla County was relocated to Neighbor 2 Neighbor at 715 SE Court Avenue in Pendleton.
