Drivers who use East Theater Lane, and Northeast Fourth Street should prepare for several weeks of rolling full street closures as contractors begin to install new water main beginning May 6, with work anticipated to continue through May 24.
The work will take place in four phases along East Theater between N.E. 2nd and N.E. 10th in order to minimize disruptions from the closures. The most disruptions to traffic will occur within the first two phases, approximately between May 6 and May 17. Maps showing the traffic control plan are available on the city of Hermiston’s website.
The work is part of a $4.1 million water system expansion project paid for jointly by the city of Hermiston and Umatilla County.
