The countdown is on for the annual Purple Ridge Lavender Festival in Hermiston.

Held each year at the Jim and Sheri Konningrud’s lavender farm on Bridge Road, the festival will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 28.

The festival will feature a wide range of lavender products and plants as well as U-Pick lavender from the couple’s fields. Festival attendees will also be treated to live music from area musicians such as Cruise Control, the Shades, BBPD and Frazier and John Wambeke.

The festival is more than just a celebration of all things lavender. There will be a host of vendors on site, including 2 Cool Creations Jewelry, ReineCrafts, Clothesline Art, DAM Wood Designs, Timeless Talismans, Wooly One Spinner & Crafts, the Tiki Hut Shaved Ice, Scentsy Candles and more. There will be wine tasting, a quilt expo and raffle, art work and antiques on display, and field chair massages will be available, as well.

The entry fee into the festival is $8 per person and $10 for wine tasting. Proceeds from the festival will benefit Martha’s House, a family homeless shelter in Hermiston. For more information, check out the festival website.

And keep in mind, if you can’t wait until festival day to check out the Konningrud’s lavender farm, it’s open from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. now through the festival.

“Remember, lavender season is short so don’t miss your chance to see the beautiful blooms,” said Sheri Konningrud.

The lavender farm is located at 29081 Bridge Road in Hermiston.
