Betty Lee Marker of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on March 29, 2025 at the age of 78.
She was born on May 17, 1946 in Ketchikan, Alaska to Louis and Della Lee Hall.
Betty grew up on Prince of Wales Island in the town of Craig, Alaska, a small logging community in Southeast Alaska, where she received her education. As an adult, she continued living near Craig for many years. She met Jim Marker, who worked in Craig in the timber industry. The couple were united in marriage in the early 1990s. The couple later moved to Seattle, Wash., where they worked and resided for several years. When Betty and Jim retired they moved to Chapala Mexico, where they lived until moving to Hermiston in 2006.
Betty worked several jobs throughout her career, where she used her clerical skills to help in the office. Betty enjoyed studying genealogy.
She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Thompson of Idaho; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Hall; sisters, Mary Ellen and Dorothy; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 2023 and a son, James.
At her request, no services will be held.
