What happens when you put a bunch of retired show business people together to celebrate New Year’s Eve in 1985? Find out by attending “That Night at the Old (Show) Folks Home” Oct. 4-8, presented by the Blue Mountain Community College Foundation.

Proceeds from the show benefit BMCC Foundation scholarships for students.

The play, written and directed by BMCC music instructor Margaret Mayer, features some of the greatest hits from Vaudeville and musical theatre with two hours of live music. Working through a series of reminiscences, the older show folk remind all of us what life was like “in the good days of Vaudeville and Broadway.”

The show features an all-star local cast, including Bill Mayclin, Doreen Matteson, Jordan Leaonard Uhlman, Dan Haug, Marcia Brown, Cheryl Carlson, Brittany Johnson, Lezlee Flagg, and many others. Osa Jubilee Forrester serves as assistant director.

“That Night at the Old (Show) Folks Home” runs Oct. 4-7 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. in the Bob Clapp Theatre in Pioneer Hall at the BMCC Pendleton campus, 2411 NW Carden Ave. Tickets are available at the door, the BMCC Box Office and at Pendleton Art and Frame. Tickets are $10 each, and $5 for students and seniors. Reservations can be made by calling the BMCC Box Office at 541-278-5928 or the Foundation Office at 541-2785775.
