Brian D. Erz of Hermiston died on May 3, 2025 in Portland at the age of 43.
He was born on June 6, 1981 in Hermiston to Richard V. “Rick” Erz and Kathryn A. “Kathy” Brown Erz.
Brian was raised and attended school in Hermiston, where he was active in FFA. He graduated from Hermiston High School in the class of 1999. Brian had worked with his dad at Casiday Battery since he was 16. He married Samantha Evens on May 12, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nev. Brian loved wheeling, snowboarding, camping, traveling and motorcycles and was always up for an adventure.
He is survived by his wife, Samantha Erz, Hermiston; children, Brianna Fincher and husband Owen, Tucson, Ariz., Matthew Erz, Hermiston and Scarlett Erz, Hermiston; parents, Rick and Kathy Erz, Hermiston; sister, Stacey Stanek, Hermiston; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and countless friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Hermiston.
Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
