It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Carly Sue Martindale (Martinez) of Irrigon. She passed away in Irrigon on Oct. 4, 2025 at the age of 42.
She was born on Jan. 25, 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jeff and Debie Norton Martinez. Carly was raised in Salt Lake City. She moved to Irrigon in 2004, where she had resided for the past 21 years.
Carly was not one of many words, however, her love and presence were always enough. Carly enjoyed gathering with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Luciano.
Carly married Shane Martindale in Irrigon. The couple separated several years later.
She is survived by her children, Madison, Shane, Vallerie, William, Mason and Riley; mother, Debie Roybal; sisters, Christie Sisneros, Danielle Wilde (Mike) and DesiJo Salgado (Jose); brother, Damien Roybal; grandson, Luciano Carrillo-Ramirez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jeffrey and two sisters, Misty and Diane.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025 in the Burns Mortuary Chapel, 685 W. Hermiston Ave.
Burial will follow in Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon.
